User notes for this item

The instrument is indeed a zither - a Kiga trough zither known as inanga. The singer could possibly be the one pictured in Tribal Crafts of Uganda Pl. 111 though there is another performer in this series who could be the person pictured. This is an excellent performance! 'Kiga' needs to be listed among your culture groups for the Wachsmann collection.
