Abstract
This song is a modern national tune composed in 2011 by composer Mahmud Bara. It praises Saharawi culture and talks about the fact that without culture people would not be anybody. It is composed in the scale entamas of the azawaan music system. The performance occasion was a private session in the house of a musician. Male lead singer, Lmarabet Mahfud, son of Mahfud "Drebaba", is a young and talented musician quite active in the camps. The girl playing percussion was playing a plastic washbowl due to the lack of proper drums. Other girls joined in with the clapping.
