User notes for this item

SINGER: Seán 'ac Dhonncha (Seán Mac Donncha, Johnny Joe Phaitsín), from Aird Thiar, Carna, was one of the first sean-nós singers whose singing reached a wider audience when commercial recordings were issued in the 1960s by Gael-Linn. Others songs in this collection that Terry Yarnell recorded from him are found under the name "Seán Mac Donough".
