This is a part of a tape marked 'Nguni vocal polyphony' which was edited by Rycroft. It includes songs from his field recordings. The collection includes examples of Xhosa, Swazi and Zulu vocal music. A group of Xhosa women and children sing and clap together. This excerpt includes examples of umngqokolo split-tone singing.
