Arthur Baker describes the Sidmouth mumming play on Christmas day, detailing the sequence of the performance, followed by the play itself. Baker last performed the play in 1908 (or 1905) and recites the entire play from memory for Kennedy. His part was of Lord Nelson. The accompanying photographs are of the 1908 performance.
