  • Description

Recording note: Recordings were made with a Sony DAT Walkman model TCD - D8 (kindly loaned by the School of Scottish Studies) machine and a matching single point stereo microphone (Sony ECM 959A which PC purchased shortly before his visit began). Recordist's note: NB. in Peter Cooke's notes this is: PCUG97.6.15 (pgm 15?). Performance note: Changes tuning to 'Acholi' tuning and then plays it. (Has he absolute pitch? Because rather than change just one note or two notes he retunes the whole instrument to a different layout.) Then plays each side (descending) and combined descending order then plays a fragment of a piece in Acholi tuning. Performer's note: Mr. Silvester Achal (lecturer).
