Description
Performance note: Continues from previous item during chat with local chief. Good sound. Song changes briefly then back. Clapping fairly prominent. Tumbling choral response with canon. Drum (plastic jerry can) produced during song and added to the performance. Noises by men joining in dancing. Song stops ten restarts but new song brought in competition. Ends with a loud cry. (pgm17-18). Followed by question if men sing also and about religious songs. Performer's note: Batwa women. Recording note: Recording had been arranged at very short notice. Arrangement made to continue recording next day. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG93.3.8 (pgm 11-12-13-14-17).
