Description
Item note: Women's song. These were the first Twa items recorded on this trip (Items at start of tape were recorded later at filming session). Kalengere is near top of the pass leading over from Kabale into Bunyarwanda. Performance note: Small group of singers with handclapping accompaniment. Four women 1' 53". Performer's note: Batwa women. Recording note: Various microphone noises made after this as they are adjusted for session following day. Recorded at 5:00pm. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG93.3.7 (pgm 09 and 10).
