Description
Performance note: A large "orchestra" - harps of different sizes, drums, panpipes, ndere flute, amadinda xylophone. After a tutti xylophone is briefly featured, then flute with panpipes, drum chime (slightly similar to entenga but fewer drums). Change of tune lead by xylophone opens B section, then ndingidi-s, then flute again, then tutti, then drum chime etc. Then return to A tune. An interesting experiment in orchestration. Intonation not so good with panpipes. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG88.16.3.
