Item note: Ekiswezi [possession dance music]. Visit made to give students chance of fieldwork and use of tape recorder. Performance note: This recording features four short drums and rattle; after the song, the three drums are recorded with rattle, then 4th drum enters. Performer's note: Juma (three drums). Recording note: Some overmodulation on this tape. Recorded at 3 3/4 ips. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG1964-8.20.A9 a + b [announced as item 11].
