Item note: Oleta [flute] song. Preceded by announcement "I am going to play 'alete' in the way the Lango used to play it a long time ago. It has been a very sad news indeed because what killed Oyee we do not know" (trans. by S. Achal, Lango student at the National Teachers' College). Performance note: This recording features Oleta = four-holed notched aluminium flute. Performer's note: Of the Atek clan of Ojul village. Recording note: Recorded at 3 3/4 ips.
