Description
Item note: Erikemba song. This song was used earlier for Ekikiihi dance with Endara xylophone and drums. According to Mr. Andrea Bwambale, this is a new song but is in fact based on traditional text of in-law; avoidance popular at weddings; followed by interview with Mr. Jonathon M. Kajumba. Performance note: This recording features two tins for rattles, Lukembe, 11 notes each with double rattles. Performer's note: Mr. Andrea Bwambale, from Bwera village. Mr. Jonathon M. Kajumba is from Bwera village. He is leader of this Konzo group (Rwenzori Drama and Cultural Society) which was formed 2 years ago. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 4 TRACK B item No. 4.
