  • Description

    This Kachchi wedding song (shaadi) is usually sung by women before the bride leaves her parents’ house. The singers are all from the Meqwar community in the Banni village Sanjote Nagar: Jiwabai (lead singer), Namabai (second singer), Bachchabai, and Hirabai. The Meqwar are Hindus and speak Kachchi language (north Indian language group).
