  • Abstract

Part 2 of 2. [00:00:00 - 00:11:08].  The following recording begins with a discussion between Iona and Peter Opie and an unidentified male speaker who is likely to be their son, Robert Opie. They are discussing the packaging of tea and coffee and a presentation they shall give with slides [00:00:00 - 00:01:04]. Part of this discussion has then been taped over by Iona when recording children in a Liss school performing 'I'm Only a Poor Little Ewing', a parody of the 1979 pop song, I'm Only a Poor Little Sparrow. The date is 21st October, 1980 [00:02:00 - 00:04:25]. The original recording can then be heard again and this continues until the tape finishes [00:04:30 - 00:11:08].
