Abstract
Part 1 of 2. [00:00:00 - 00:16:52]. This recording was made by Iona Opie at a school in Liss, in October, 1980. The recording contains repeat performances of the song 'I'm Only a Poor Little Ewing', a parody of the 1979 pop song 'I'm Only a Poor Little Sparrow'. The initial performance includes a group of children who play musical instruments as they sing. This is followed by individual performances of the song sung by the children in the group.
