Part 12: Tape 7 Side B. Talks about working in the factory. Sister moved to UK and BG saved to join her. Step-mother died beside BG in bed in 1953/4 in May. BG devastated. Describes death. After stepmother’s death moved in with her birth mother. BG aged around 16 or 17. Mother had a large place and she gave BG a room. Was a difficult experience – was not used to living with her mother and her siblings were jealous of BG. Talks about the boyfriends she had as a girl and the time her mother invited her first boyfriend to meet her. BG hid. Reaction at menstruation. Talked to own children about reproduction.
