Reference to JD's mother's purchase in 1966 of different Wallingford house, now owned by JD, after death of FGD in 1961. Description of JD's family home, including brief reference to pictures and topographical prints of India by Daniels; description of family dogs. JD's relationship with FGD, including reference to correspondence. Describes father's relationship with JD's brother [AGD], also AGD's professional career, including representing Rolls Royce in Africa. Mentions AGD's attendance at Dragon School, Wellington School and, during the war, six years at Edinburgh Art School studying Architecture.
