Part 6: ML's difficulties in reorganising her life; writing diary and story based on Church Stretton. Friendship with Sir Roderick Jones and Enid Bagnold; meeting with Desmond McCarthy and Logan Pearsall Smith; visits with Jones, Bagnold, McCarthy and Smith to Krishnamurti in Holland. ML's early novel-writing; advice from Rosamond Lehmann (friend of ML's sister Ursula) about publishers; Curtis Brown as ML's agent; ML's 'Forthcoming Marriages' (collection of stories) published by John Murray, 1933; ML supported financially by writing for 'Woman's Weekly' and 'Woman and Home'; published with Mills and Boon under name Esther Wyndham.
