  • Description

Recording notes : In the words of the sound recordist "A parkland of sessile oak near Cserepfalu, in an area known as Hideg-Kâut. There is a low sandy quarry that looks as though it should provide a home to Sand Martins or Bee Eaters, but no; we find a lively colony of chirpy Tree Sparrows, complete with flying insects, a Yellow Bunting, a Field Cricket and a stiff breeze. Not so early a soundscape but, nevertheless, before breakfast!"
