  • Description

Recording notes : As a Great Reed Warbler sang in a lakeside reedbed, a male Hen Harrier flew in to circle over the same reeds, calling harshly. This led to what I presumed to be a chick-feeding sequence at an unseen nest in the reeds. In the background were distant Greylag Geese, twittering Barn Swallows, a sighing Water Rail and a milking machine. Also, Black-Headed Gulls, barking dogs, Bittern, Farmyard cocks, and Cuckoo.
