  • Description

The stridulation of the meadow grasshopper recorded at Cowley, Gloucestershire. The meadow grasshopper is probably the most common grasshopper in Britain, occurring mainly in damp meadows, grassland, and wayside areas. Adults start appearing during June and July and the repeating ‘zrezrezre’ song can still be heard well into November.
