Description
Item notes : A series of recordings of African music with no announcements. The majority of the recordings consist of male singers (solo and chorus) and sometimes female singers as well. The singers are occasionally unaccompanied but often accompanied by clapping shakers, wooden percussion blocks, a lamellophone and a horn. It is likely that the music on this tape was recorded or collected by musicologist Edward Williams, who worked principally in Nigeria.
