  • Description

    Mrs. Newman briefly describes the apparatus used for cooking over the fire, then talks about chimney sweeps and mentions the village blacksmith. She also describes some of the jobs she did on the farm when the men were away at war. The original recording appears to have been paused on three occasions. Wolvercote is just to the east of Eynsham on the outskirts of Oxford.
