Description
Item notes : Wachsmann's original recording no.: 54.664. Item notes : From available documentation: Song lyrics: "my step-mother is calling my name", i.e. the other woman in a polygamous home. An interesting use of vocal registers reminiscent of manner in which Soga lyre players sing. Performer notes : From available documentation: Mr. Anayo is the son of Abwonde Okoc of Kal village, blind, easily 70 years old.
