  • Description

Item notes : Wachsmann's original recording no.: 54.625. Item notes : From available documentation: The song says "the snail has killed many of my chickens" [possible error in translation - could be snake] - to which the chorus says: "gongo gongo ngwe, kakerere ngwe, kakekere" - the word gongo is to describe the crawling of the snail, the other words are quite without meaning. Performer notes : From available documentation: Acholi children of Gulu Girls School, Church Missionary Society.
