  • Description

Item notes: Wachsmann's original recording no.: 54.321. From available documentation: during the performance the crowd trots in clockwise direction reminiscent of the Bugerere xylophone dancers. Performer notes : From available documentation: names of drums: ntukire / nkunyo - with bells suspended from it; nzirugobe - cylindrical-conical drum; nakatwanyi bakyala basumba kamulali - comparable to the kannabba drums of Buganda kyaita mugeni. The trumpets are covered in black hide and with a tassle of goat's hair over the pavillion.
