  • Description

Item notes : Wachsmann's original recording no.: 54.195. English translation of song lyrics from available documentation: "It is better to die than to be alive and poor". The song proceeds in two stages: first singing with the leader when the girls merely sing and bend forward. Second: the leader goes to the drum and the girls add rapid leg work to the 'bent' position and their elbows flap against their sides like birdwings. Performer notes : From available documentation: the group are from Icheme. Buywa, Yekoyadi is the leader of the group.
