Item notes : Wachsmann's original recording no.: 54.165. English translation of song lyrics from available documentation: "I have wasted my cattle for nothing instead of marrying my beloved girl Owiny". Performer notes : From available documentation: the group are from Ngai. The names of the flutes are: Atong, Atinere, Agam, Adang, Agam Adit, and Aryem (leader). This genre is of hocketing one-note [sometimes two] flutes. The ensemble had high status like the eshugu flute ensembles of the kings of Bunyoro and Nkore.
