    Stories about Dickie Cooper who used to step dance and his wife Flo. Dickie trying to dance on his board but he fell on it and ‘shot across the floor like a bullet’. Step dancing on the counter. ‘Folk clubs and festivals are doing a wonderful job by keeping things going, but you see they never, they could never, well the couldn’t put on a thing like that could they? I mean ‘tis all spontaneous’. Story about Dickie loosing his pig. Jenny Millest [?] a clog dancer from Reading, judging at Dartmoor, she gave an award to one of the gypsy step dancers who ‘do a different step than the Dartmoor’ and this didn’t please Bob Cann. Gypsies know a lot of songs. Mark Small wouldn’t sing to some revivalists ‘do they sing for money…if they sing for money I shan’t sing for ‘em’.
