Abstract
Don’t remember there being any war time metal collections in the village. He wasn’t demobbed until 1946, most of his time was spent in the middle east. Wedding reception was held in the village hall. Amateur dramatics ‘When we were married’, ‘The camels back’. He used to perform at the Devon singing festivals. Sang Bless this House, Handels Largo and Paul Robeson songs, used to rehearse with Dr. Burton who was a neighbour.
