  • Abstract

    Mr Heal talks about being born in Morchard Bishop in 1920. Joined the RAF in January 1939, because there was no work about. On being demobbed he helped to open the garage for Mr Snell. Then worked at the Ambrosia milk factory for three months and then for a haulage contractor for thirty-three years. Mrs Heal came to Morchard around 1936. They were married in 1946. The foundation of the Village Memorial Hall committee. Raising money by having concerts at the school hall, father was a singing man and always helped out. His elder brother was in the local brass band.
