Abstract
[poor sound] Interview – Austin Wookey talks about Cecil Sharp’s informants. The Moger and Horler families (members of the Horler family are still in the area). Mrs Kettlewell the writer at Harptree court, ‘Wiley’ Kettlewell the naval commander was very interested in folk song and married Sharp’s secretary. Mrs Wyatt [wife of George Wyatt] used to be called a witch. ‘She was a dear old soul’ and lived in a squatters house (a key house), the other children used to tell him that she would turn him into a pig and that she made pigs stand on their back legs. Their cottage has since been knocked down. More on the Moger’s. Farmer William King. George Currel, whose sons Morris danced. John Durbin who was employed weeding the cricket field.
