Abstract
Granny' Bryant talks about music in her family ‘all me uncles was players’. Had a Saturday night band at home for dances, ‘violin, concertina, tambourine, tin whistles and everything you could think of’. Once lent a man an accordion but didn’t get it back. Father used to play the tambourine ‘you had to make your own music ‘cos you didn’t have nothing did ‘ee’. She could never step dance.
