Abstract
Gilly the Drover from Butleigh. Because of the gravel roads you would know that he was in the area because of the cloud that his sheep made on the road. He would take sheep on runs from Dorchester to Bridgewater sleeping rough on the journey. Last time he saw him he was coming from Ilminster fair with no sheep ‘not a bloody hoof’ because the Drovers were being put out of business by the lorries.
