Abstract
Harry Adams talks about working at Newton Abbott and Taunton. Went back on the farm and then worked as a stoker at Ilton for twenty-seven years. Explains the different types of fuel. ‘Radstock coal was terrible coal it used to run like treacle’. He used to weigh about twelve stone, but after the boiler was converted to oil his weight went up to sixteen stone and then eighteen and a half stone.
