Abstract
Grandparents - Amy Ford talks about her grandfather, the singer Frederick Crossman [from whom Sharp collected in 1904] who had been a gardener on estates and then became a Market gardener. When young grandmother used to go picking corn lees’. Both lived into their eighties. Remembers grandmother’s pastry and that the meat was never tough, even though pigs weren’t killed when young.
