Description
Recording note: Recordings were made with a Sony DAT Walkman model TCD - D8 (kindly loaned by the School of Scottish Studies) machine and a matching single point stereo microphone (Sony ECM 959A which PC purchased shortly before his visit began). Recordist's note: NB. in Peter Cooke's notes this is: PCUG97.7.1 (pgm 01). Performance note: With announcement. four okemes, a fifth was tapped during first item. Bass player uses LH to mute keys after plucking them. The villagers use the term lukeme in preference to okeme (more like the acholi name). Seemed to continue on into new song - or was it all one song?
