Recording note: Recordings were made with a Sony DAT Walkman model TCD - D8 (kindly loaned by the School of Scottish Studies) machine and a matching single point stereo microphone (Sony ECM 959A which PC purchased shortly before his visit began). Recordist's note: NB. in Peter Cooke's notes this is: PCUG97.1.25 (pgm 0?). Performance note: An attempt at reviving an old tradition. Several cone flutes made from antelope horns are used hocket fashion to play the melodies. Performer's note: Mixed group (women singing and dancing, men playing flutes).
