Performance note: With leg bells and Isaasi (rattle); terms differ from North and south Bugisu, (N always given first) Mabega Mabeka (the dance danced with this music); Kukyina Khukyina (vb. to dance); Ludaya, Lutaya (transverse flute); Liduku, Litungu (lyre), inyungu, Inyungu (waterpots - used for percussion); Lukokolo or Luwepere, Luwenjele (percussion trough); Isaasi, Isaasi (rattle); Zingoma ze palu, Tsingoma sembalu (drums for circumscision); Bitsetse, Bizese (leg bells). Performer's note: Jome, son of Wadulo - lyre; Odero, son of Wanziguya (Bunaseche clan) - rattle. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG64-8.37.A2.
