Item note: Amakondere (engwara) song. Another version of the song transcribed by Sylvester at Achal at National Teachers College 18 months previously. Performance note: With five or more amakondere composite wood / gourd horns. Performer's note: Members Nyoro trumpet band from Heartbeat of Africa (probably also former royal trumpet band). Recording note: Recorded at roadside while awaiting for march past of parade for Prime Minister. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is PCUG1964-8.32.B2.
