Item note: Soga popular dance song. Performance note: This recording features one Soga embaire [xylophone] with three players; one Soga obulere [panpipes]; one Soga ndere [flute]; one Ndingidi [tube fiddle]; drums performed by various people [not all Soga]. Recording note: Recorded during a visit to the National Theatre to record the National Ensemble of the "Heartbeat of Africa" troupe. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 16, TRACK A, item no. 1.
