Item note: Children's song. Song with two versions, about two teams, frog and cameleon in competition. Similar to the "tortoise and the hare" story. Context is explained in English before song is performed. Lyrics translated. Performer's note: Both performers are primary school teachers. Recording note: Recordings made during a visit by performers to home of Peter Cooke to record Kiganda children's songs for transcription and publication. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 14, TRACK A, item no. 5.
