    Item note: Lukumbe song [entertainment]. Copy of Lukembe (lamellophone) songs and tunings dubbed from recordings made by Hugh Rowell, Makerere University College. "Girls are like birds in the river. Uganda has her freedom. I'm thinking of my girl. Oh, the eyes of women." Performance note: This recording features one Lukembe [treble size]. Performer's note: Ogwang is 14-15 years old and comes from Alarek, Labwor. These people spread into this part of Labwor from Acholi according to Hugh Rowell. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 11, TRACK B, item no. 4 [although announced as item 17].
