Description
Item note: Kiga school type song. Unaccompanied song, with some harmony. Recording note: Recordings made during a visit to Fort Portal, Tooro district, for the Independence Anniversary Celebrations on the police ground. There were 4 different groups of entertainers from various parts of Tooro, performing on the field in a large roped enclosure before a large and appreciative crowd. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 7, TRACK A, item no. 4, previously announced as "item 4, Kiga dance".
