Description
Performance note: There were four different groups of entertainers from various parts of Tooro, performing on the field in a large roped enclosure before a large and appreciative crowd. Performer's note: All the groups involved were invited to the playing field to perform at the same time. Recording note: Field worker walked around from group to group to make analytical recordings of the drum rhythms of these groups. Recordings made during a visit to Fort Portal, Tooro district, for the Independence Anniversary Celebrations on the police ground. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 7, TRACK B, item no. 4.
