Performance note: This recording features two Khimileli notched bamboo flutes with two stops each. Note hocketing techniques and mixture of playing and singing. Both parts played separately afterwards. The older man (Namwiremi) knows both parts. Performer's note: Namwiremi is son of Wakulua of the Bwagogo clan and he plays the Muzezza [male flute] and sings. Antonio Wati, brother of Namwiremi, plays the Mukassi [female flute]. Recording note: Recorded during a visit to Khumulele: wedding flute players, Bwagogo, Manjiya County, Bugishu. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 5 TRACK B item No. 20.
