Description
Item note: Royal historical song played by most of the royal ensembles. Players highly excited because Peter Cooke had just been playing with them (the first European to do so). Performance note: This recording features assorted notched flutes (endere) in six different sizes and bakisimba drum set. Performer's note: Kabaka's royal flute band (plus extras for occasion). Recording note: Recording was made on the occasion of the Kabaka's official birthday. Roaming microphone technique. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 5 TRACK A item No. 5.
