Item note: Nyawanda cattle tune. Announced as item 2a. Nyawanda cattle tune with recitation on Omubanda (3 holed notched bamboo flute - notch and holes cut and burned). Performance note: Instrumental flute passages alternate with recitation; flute tuning included. Recording note: Kafuureka is of the Omushanza clan, Nyarwand tribe. His father is from Rwanda but he was born in Nkore, his clan is found elsewhere in Nkore; Christopher Musisita is of the Omushikatkaw clan, Nyankore tribe. Recordist's note: In Peter Cooke's notes, this is on TAPE PC 4 TRACK B item No. 10.
