Description
These four singers from Majuli island perform a Bianam wedding song. The song is usually sung in the bride’s house when the bride is getting ready to go to the groom’s house. The female singers, supported by birds, are Punashari Saikia, Lili Tamuli, Lakhayprava Hazarika and Bhogashri Borah. The artists belong to the Assamese community and Assamese belongs to the north Indian language group.
