Sowt genre of Bahrain. Music: Singer and ‘ūd player is Dahi Ben Walid, who lived from 1896/1898 to 1941/1951. Supported by violin and drum (mirwās?), occasionally chorus and hand clapping. Very short musical introduction (violin and ‘ūd). A percussive way of playing the lute. A violin solo concludes the piece on the second side. Indicating on the label ('Sot Shami') the piece is of Shami origin (dialect / music style / poetry of Arabic as spoken in Syria, Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon).
